It's a genuinely exciting moment as the doors finally open and audiences are invited inside to either their allocated seating or the standing area, ready for the story to begin.

The venue itself has been cleverly designed by Tom Rogers with different seating experiences to suit every audience member. Stephanie Costi is an inspired choice as Sandy. She beautifully captures Sandy's warmth, kindness and growing confidence throughout the story, while delivering stunning vocals that soar effortlessly through every song. She has a natural stage presence that makes it impossible to look away, and she perfectly balances innocence with determination as Sandy finds her voice. It's difficult to imagine a better casting choice.

Lucy Penrose is equally outstanding as Rizzo. Her resemblance to the character is genuinely uncanny and she completely embodies Rizzo's wit, confidence and vulnerability. Every sarcastic remark lands perfectly, while the emotional moments carry real weight. It's an impressively nuanced performance that honours the original while still feeling fresh.

The rest of the company deserves enormous praise too. Jennifer Weber's choreography is bursting with life, the harmonies are fantastic and every ensemble member performs with infectious enthusiasm. The production never loses momentum, constantly filling the space with movement, colour and excitement. Whether it's the school dance, the cafeteria scenes or the unforgettable finale, there's always something happening wherever you look.
